Bishkek, July 7, 2026 /Kabar/. The Guarantee Fund OJSC announces the selection of financial institutions to participate in the Green Guarantees project, with funding volume of $59 million.

According to the agency, the project will become one of the largest instruments for supporting environmentally sustainable entrepreneurship in Kyrgyzstan. Its main goal is to create a market for green guarantees and expand access for micro, small, and medium-sized businesses to financing projects aimed at improving energy efficiency, implementing modern technologies, rationally using natural resources, and reducing environmental impact.

As part of the project, the Guarantee Fund will provide individual and portfolio guarantees, reducing the credit risks of financial institutions and creating additional opportunities for business lending. This will allow entrepreneurs to gain greater access to financial resources for implementing sustainable development projects.

Financial institutions in Kyrgyzstan are invited to participate in the project. Participation in the project will expand the range of financial products, introduce green financing instruments, strengthen customer support, and contribute to one of the most significant sustainable development projects supported by the World Bank, the statement says.

A public offer with the terms of participation, a list of required documents, and the application process is available on the official website of the Guarantee Fund. After reviewing their applications, financial institutions will be able to join the Green Guarantees mechanism.
