Kyrgyzstan, Mongolia agree to expand trade

Bishkek, July 31, 2026. /Kabar/. Kyrgyz Ambassador Aibek Moldogaziev met with Mongolian Deputy Prime Minister Nyamtaishiryn Nomtoybayar.

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, they discussed issues of expanding trade, economic and investment cooperation between the two countries.

The parties paid special attention to the implementation of the agreements reached at the highest level and the decisions of the fifth meeting of the Kyrgyz-Mongolian intergovernmental commission.

The meeting also considered new opportunities for expanding mutual trade within the framework of the Interim Trade Agreement between the EAEU and Mongolia, which entered into force on July 22, 2026. The Kyrgyz side noted the need for urgent coordination of veterinary and phytosanitary requirements.

In turn, the Deputy Prime Minister of Mongolia expressed interest in further developing mutually beneficial partnership with Kyrgyzstan and said that he was ready to promote cooperation at a practical level.
