Bishkek, Oct. 28, 2026 /Kabar/. Kyrgyzstan plans to construct seven sports complexes, one in each region to foster the development of Olympic, non-Olympic, and national sports. Urmat Asanbaev, Director of the State Agency for Physical Culture and Sports told Kabar.

According to him, the process of identifying land plots and preparing the necessary documentation is currently underway.

"We are currently finalizing land-related matters, scouting for suitable sites, and processing the required paperwork. Once this is complete, all documentation will be handed over to the Ministry of Construction. We will specify the facilities to be included in these sports complexes, and the Ministry of Construction will oversee the actual building process," explained Urmat Asanbaev.
