Kyrgyzstan promotes global mountain agenda in Andorra

Bishkek, March 30, 2026. /Kabar/. World Mountain Tourism Congress and the Mountain Partnership Meeting are being held in Andorra from March 25-26. The event attended by a delegation led by the Special Representative of the President for the Mountain Agenda, Dinara Kemelova.

As part of the event, the Prime Minister of Andorra received President Sadyr Zhaparov's invitation to the Second Global Mountain Summit "Bishkek+25" wich will be held in 2027 including offer of cooperation.

As part of the meeting, the preservation of cultural and historical heritage and the development of ecotourism in mountainous regions were discussed under the leadership of UN Tourism.

Negotiations were also held with the delegations of UNEP and Germany on the protection of the snow leopard, the preservation of mountain ecosystems, and climate financing.

Kyrgyz delegation called on international partners (Germany, Switzerland, Italy, OSCE, etc.) to support Kyrgyzstan's mountain initiatives and actively participate in the upcoming Bishkek summit.
