Bishkek, June 26, 2026. /Kabar/. Deputy Chairman of Cabinet of Ministers Ulan Mamatkanov took part in the Shanghai Cooperation Organization Women's Forum and delivered a welcoming speech.
In his speech, Deputy chairman emphasized that the SCO Women's Forum is an important international platform for developing women's leadership, expanding women's participation in socio-political and economic processes, and strengthening cooperation between the organization's member states.
The speech focused on global trends related to the growing role of women in public administration, economics, business, and the digital sphere.
According to Ulan Mamatkanov, women's leadership is now considered a key factor in sustainable development, economic growth, and effective governance.
He also noted that women play an active role in all spheres of public life in Kyrgyzstan. According to the National Statistical Committee, approximately 20% of small and medium-sized businesses in the country are owned or managed by women. Furthermore, Kyrgyzstan is among the world leaders in the number of women members of parliament.
During his speech, he emphasized the country's implementation of a state program to promote women's leadership until 2030 and the adoption of additional measures to strengthen gender balance in public administration.
Concluding his speech, he noted that Kyrgyzstan is currently demonstrating sustainable economic growth and is open to new partnerships, investments, and joint projects.
