Bishkek, Sept. 20, 2026 /Kabar/. During a meeting with Utah state officials, President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Zhaparov proposed considering the possibility of establishing direct air links between Kyrgyzstan and the United States.
The meeting took place on September 19 at the State Capitol in Salt Lake City. In addition to air travel, the parties discussed cooperation in the fields of tourism, education, finance, and the mining industry.
During the meeting, Zhaparov also highlighted the potential for developing business ties between Kyrgyzstan and American partners.
Utah Governor Spencer Cox expressed interest in the further development of mutually beneficial cooperation.
