Kyrgyzstan receives prestigious Russian Traveler Awards

Bishkek, Dec.10, 2025. /Kabar/. On December 8, Ambassador of the Kyrgyz Republic to the Russian Federation Kubanychbek Bokontaev attended the awards ceremony for the prestigious Russian Traveler tourism award for 2025.

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the award is dedicated to key tourism opportunities and destinations and has been recognized as one of the most prestigious awards in the Russian tourism industry for several years. The professional jury of experts ranked the Kyrgyz Republic first in the international category "Foreign Destination."

In his acceptance speech, Ambassador Kubanychbek Bokontaev noted that the country is paying close attention to developing its tourism potential and improving its tourism services. Thanks to the measures and efforts being taken, Kyrgyzstan's attractiveness as a tourist destination is growing year after year. Particular emphasis is currently placed on developing the ski resort cluster. Number of large-scale projects aimed at promoting winter recreation have been launched, including the Ala-Too Resort, Central Asia's largest, world-class, all-season ski resort. In closing, the ambassador invited everyone to the Kyrgyz Republic to attend a large-scale and spectacular event, ​​the 6th World Nomad Games.

For reference: 2025 marks the fourth year of the Russian Traveler Awards. Over 560 applications were submitted from 50 regions of Russia, the CIS, and other countries. Over one million users participated in voting in 22 categories. In addition to Kyrgyzstan, the "International Destination" category also featured countries such as Belarus, South Korea, China, Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, Armenia, Oman, Dubai, and others.
