Bishkek, April 24, 2026. /Kabar/. Deputy Minister of Science, Higher Education, and Innovation of Kyrgyzstan Durus Kozuev announced about establishment of state-owned enterprise "Center for International Education" in Kyrgyzstan.
According to him, on March 19, 2026, Resolution No. 189 of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic approved the charter of the state-owned enterprise "Center for International Education of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Kyrgyz Republic."
Durus Kozuev noted that the new center will become a single coordinating body for attracting, admitting, and supporting international students at educational institutions in the country. Its activities are aimed at enhancing the international competitiveness of Kyrgyz education and creating a transparent admissions system for foreign citizens.
"The center will handle international recruiting, conduct information campaigns abroad, and ensure the centralized collection of documents through automated systems. Furthermore, it will coordinate interactions between government agencies on visa, medical, and academic support for students.
Particular attention will be paid to the quality of applicant selection, adherence to academic ethics, and the creation of comfortable conditions for international students to adapt to Kyrgyzstan," the deputy minister noted.
He also added that the launch of the center will increase the export of educational services, strengthen the position of Kyrgyz universities in the international market, and ensure a systematic approach to working with international students.
