Bishkek, July 21, 2026. /Kabar/. Kyrgyzstan is strengthening cooperation with several countries on fuel imports. Currently, work is underway on importing fuel based on the agreement concluded with Belarus, and the issue of transit through Russia has been resolved. Energy Minister Altynbek Rysbekov told media representatives.

According to the minister, negotiations with the Belarusian side have been clearly established, and several wagons carrying fuel have set off.

“In addition, a number of agreements have been reached with China on fuel supplies. Kyrgyz delegation visited China and held talks on the volume, terms of delivery and other issues. Currently, the first batches have been sent from China, and logistical issues are being worked out,” Rysbekov said.

As reported, the proximity of the border with China allows for the delivery of fuel by road. However, some preparatory work is required to fully organize the delivery process.

Cabinet of Ministers has given instructions to the Ministry of Energy, the Ministry of Transport and other relevant state bodies to eliminate obstacles in the delivery process in order to expedite the issue of fuel supplies.

In addition, Kyrgyzstan is also considering opportunities for cooperation with Uzbekistan in the fuel sector. It was reported that negotiations on this issue are underway at the level of prime ministers and ministers, and delivery mechanisms are being discussed.
