Kyrgyzstan supports SMEs: 1.5 billion soms allocated

Bishkek, August 3, 2026 /Kabar/. In Kyrgyzstan, 1.5 billion soms have been allocated from the national budget to support entrepreneurs and startup projects, and preferential loans at 2% per annum.

According to the information, Ministry of Finance and the State Financial Holding in accordance with a Cabinet of Ministers decision implements the given program.

"Preferential lending is primarily aimed at promoting the economic development of the country's regions and supporting small and medium-sized businesses. This allows entrepreneurs to modernize production, purchase new equipment, and open businesses," he said.

The program operates second year. Previously, financing was provided by regional development funds. For example, in 2025, 245 entrepreneurs received preferential loans totaling 1 billion 200 million soms.
