Bishkek, April 10, 2025. /Kabar/. Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing and Communal Services of Kyrgyzstan Nurdan Oruntaev announced the decision to begin supplies of rolled metal products from China.

The minister noted that China is currently one of the world's leading economies, and its construction rates have outpaced many countries. As part of the instructions of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Zhaparov, a delegation from Kyrgyzstan visited the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region of China, in particular Urumqi city, to study the activities of Chinese metallurgical plants and factories.

Oruntaev said that during the working visit it was established that the Chinese enterprises use the most modern production technologies — from coal and gas furnaces to electrical discharge machines. The processes are fully automated and controlled by high-precision computer systems. "At all stages of production, chemical elements are added to the metal to ensure the optimal combination of strength and flexibility. The results of laboratory tests of the selected samples confirmed that Chinese rolled metal meets high international standards and the requirements of the construction industry," the minister emphasized.

Nurdan Oruntaev also noted that Chinese manufacturers are ready to manufacture metal structures according to individual projects, which opens up new opportunities for the development of the construction sector of Kyrgyzstan.

"We urge you to abandon outdated stereotypes about Chinese metal. Today, it is a high-quality, certified material, proven in practice. Each batch of imported rolled metal will undergo mandatory certification in the Ministry of Construction of the Kyrgyz Republic. Without the appropriate documents, materials will not be allowed to enter the market," the minister assured.

According to him, the development of the construction industry is an investment in the economy and the future of the country, and the use of modern technologies and high-quality materials will be the key to the successful growth of Kyrgyzstan.
