Bishkek, April 2, 2025. /Kabar /. Kyrgyzstan will issue soon passports of six countries, head of the Presidential Administration Kanybek Tumanbaev told reporters.
He said that an agreement on passport production has been signed with the African countries of Ghana and Namibia.
“Next week, four more agreements will be signed with foreign countries. However, I cannot say which countries these are until the agreements are signed. We will inform about this only after the agreement on passport production is signed,” Tumanbaev said.
Kyrgyzstan began printing its passports in September 2023. The documents will be issued by the Uchkun state printing house. Previously, the country had imported ID cards and general passports from abroad. Tumanbaev noted that while previously Kyrgyz driver's licenses were issued in Almaty, Kazakhstan, now efforts are being made to print them locally.
