Bishkek, Jan.28, 2025. /Kabar/. Bishkek hosted a meeting between Minister of Health of Kyrgyzstan Alymkadyr Beishenaliev and a delegation of the Turkish Health Ministry led by Deputy Director General of State Hospitals Dr. Bahar Aydınlı.
The press service of the Health Ministry reported that during the meeting, the sides discussed cooperation issues in the field of organ transplantation on the basis of Bishkek State Hospital of Kyrgyz-Turkish Friendship named after Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
A group of Turkish specialists headed by Dr. Bahar Aydınlı is currently studying the work of the Kyrgyz-Turkish Friendship Hospital. The delegation includes transplant doctors who plan to perform kidney transplantation for two patients as they are ready in the near future.
Dr. Bahar Aydınlı noted that two groups of transplant doctors will work at the Kyrgyz-Turkish Friendship Hospital in the future.
“Within the framework of previously signed agreements between Kyrgyzstan and Turkiye, kidney transplantation will be available for other patients. Financing of these operations will be carried out based on the orders of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan. The cost of kidney transplantation for one patient is USD 7.5 thousand. For the first two operations, $15,000 has been allocated from the Presidential Sponsorship Fund,” said Kyrgyz Health Minister Alymkadyr Beishenaliev.
