Bishkek, July 29, 2026. /Kabar/. Kyrgyz Ambassador to Turkiye Ruslan Kazakbaev met with businessmen from the Turkish province of Amasya.

According to the Kyrgyz Foreign Ministry, the meeting discussed issues of expanding trade, economic and investment cooperation between the two countries.

The parties noted the important role of interregional ties in achieving the goal of bringing the bilateral trade turnover between Kyrgyzstan and Turkiye to 5 billion US dollars.

In his speech, Ruslan Kazakbaev noted that Turkiye was one of the first countries to recognize the independence of Kyrgyzstan, and noted that stable political ties between the two countries contribute to the development of strategic partnership.

The ambassador informed Turkish businessmen about the socio-economic development of Kyrgyzstan, investment opportunities and the conditions created for doing business in the country.

Representatives of the Turkish business community expressed their interest in implementing joint investment projects in Kyrgyzstan and expanding trade and economic ties.

The parties noted the importance of further organizing business missions, holding B2B meetings, and promoting joint initiatives.

The event was held as part of a business forum dedicated to the 35th anniversary of Kyrgyzstan's independence and the 35th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
