Bishkek, July 29, 2026 /Kabar/. Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan are strengthening cooperation in the development of free economic and industrial zones.
The National Investment Agency of Kyrgyz Republic reported that the head of the agency, Ravshanbek Sabirov, and Ikromjon Usmanov, Director of the Tashkent City Industrial Zone Management Directorate, signed a memorandum of cooperation.
The document envisages the development of partnerships in the creation and management of free economic and industrial zones, the exchange of experience and best practices, and joint efforts to attract investment.
The parties agreed to implement joint investment projects, develop industrial cooperation, and exchange information on investment opportunities and government support measures.
Furthermore, business forums, business missions, and other joint events aimed at expanding economic cooperation are planned.
Particular attention will be paid to developing direct ties between free economic zones, industrial enterprises, and investors in Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan.
