Kyrgyzstani wins silver medal at Asian Shooting Championships in New Delhi

Bishkek, Feb. 6, 2026 /Kabar/. Imandos Bektenov, a member of the Kyrgyz national shooting team, won a silver medal at the Asian Championships, State Agency for Physical Culture and Sports reports.

According to the agency, the Asian Shooting Championships are being held in New Delhi from February 2 to 14. 385 athletes from 19 countries are participating in the competition.

The championship program includes three age categories. Kyrgyzstan is represented by 16 athletes, led by three coaches. Following the first day of competition, two athletes from Kyrgyzstan advanced to the finals in the 10m Air Pistol event. Askat Tokmokov placed seventh among adults. Among juniors, Imandos Bektenov took 2nd place and won a silver medal.
