Bishkek, July 27, 2026. /Kabar/. The first batch of 169 heads of Arashan breed sheep has been exported to Uzbekistan.
According to the Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture and Processing Industry, the export of pedigree livestock is carried out in accordance with the requirements of the legislation of Kyrgyz Republic. For each head of pedigree livestock exported, the state budget receives appropriate payments in the amount of 17 thousand to 20 thousand soms.
It should be noted that currently, Kyrgyzstan has temporarily restricted the export of commercial sheep. This measure was taken to ensure the stability of meat prices in the domestic market.
At the same time, the export of Arashan breed sheep does not affect the price in the domestic market. This is a breed of livestock with high genetic value. Their breeding, selection, preparation for export and export require significant costs.
This direction contributes to the development of export potential, increasing the value of breeding livestock and bringing additional income to the country.
