Bishkek, Aug. 19, 2026. /Kabar/. Total assets of the banking sector in Kyrgyzstan have increased by 30.2% since the beginning of the year, reaching 1,577.3 billion soms.
According to the National Bank, banks' loan portfolios have grown by 18.9% since the beginning of the year, reaching 602.6 billion soms.
Deposits increased by 6.8%, reaching 924.7 billion soms.
The volume of financing based on Islamic principles has increased by 35.4% since the beginning of the year, reaching 26 billion soms.
As of June 30, 26 commercial banks and 306 branches were operating in the country. Six commercial banks provided services in accordance with Islamic banking and financing principles in national and/or foreign currencies.
