Bishkek, July 21, 2026. /Kabar/. According to the results of January-June 2026, the economy of Kyrgyzstan showed steady growth, with gross domestic product (GDP) reaching 960 billion soms.

The real growth rate was 111.9%, which is higher than the indicator for the same period last year (January-June 2025 - 111.3%). Dastan Chaniyazov, head of the department of macroeconomic analysis of economic sectors of Ministry of Economy and Commerce told Birinchi Radio.

According to him, the country's economy remains in a phase of active expansion, despite external challenges, and has maintained its high growth rate since 2022.

“Positive dynamics were recorded in all sectors of the economy. The main drivers of growth were the construction sector, which made an impressive leap of 69.6% due to the implementation of large-scale infrastructure projects, and industry, which grew by 12.8% due to the revival of domestic production. The service sector showed growth of 6.0%, while agriculture added 4.3%, which was facilitated by timely state support for the agricultural sector, large-scale renewal of the fleet of agricultural machinery through leasing, and stable growth in livestock farming,” he said.

According to the expert, such results are ensured by a combination of domestic industrial potential and the investment climate, creating a multiplier effect in all sectors of the economy.
