Kyrgyzstan's educational assessment practices showcased in Turkiye

Bishkek, Oct. 9, 2026 /Kabar/. Kyrgyzstan's practices regarding educational assessment are being presented at the 10th International Congress on Measurement and Evaluation in Education and Psychology, currently taking place in the Turkish city of Denizli. Ministry of Education reports.

According to the report, Zeynep Jamakeeva, a testology expert from the Department for the Development of Education Quality, and Samara Mambetova, a specialist from the Test Administration Technology Division, are participating in the congress, which is being held at Pamukkale University from October 5 to 9.

A panel discussion titled "Assessment of Skills and Competencies in the Testing Centers of Turkic States" was held as part of the congress. There, Zeynep Zhamakeeva, an expert from Kyrgyzstan, delivered a presentation titled "We measure for development, not for evaluation."

The congress is also addressing the impact of international studies such as PISA, TIMSS, and PIRLS, the improvement of national assessment systems, educational reforms, and the assurance of assessment reliability. Particular attention is also being paid to inclusive assessment methods that create equal opportunities for all students.
