Bishkek, July 21, 2026 /Kabar/. In Kyrgyzstan, industrial enterprises produced 450.4 billion soms in gross output from January to June 2026, according to the Ministry of Economy and Commerce.
Compared to the same period in 2025, production increased by 12.7% (in January-June 2025, it increased by 12.5%). Industrial output excluding gold processing enterprises increased by 14.1%.
The strong industrial production figures compared to January-June 2025 were driven by an 8.2% increase in food production (including beverages) and tobacco products, an 11.9% increase in basic metals, a 40.7% increase in vehicles, a 33.4% increase in construction materials, a 1.7-fold increase in wood and paper products, printing products, and refined petroleum products, a 2.9-fold increase in chemical products, a 1.8-fold increase in pharmaceuticals, and a 12.8% increase in mining.
At the same time, electricity, gas, and steam supply decreased by 1.2% due to a 5.4% reduction in electricity generation.
The 16.2% increase in water supply, waste treatment, recycling, and secondary raw material production was primarily driven by a 10.7% increase in water collection, treatment, and distribution. The contribution to the formation of GDP from industrial production amounted to 2.33 percentage points, the share in the structure of GDP production amounted to 20.4%.
