Bishkek, Sept. 15, 2026 /Kabar/. In Kyrgyzstan, industrial production in January-August 2026 amounted to 600.8 billion soms. This was reported by the National Statistics Committee.
It is noted that the physical volume index, compared to January-August 2025, amounted to 108.8 percent.
Industrial production growth compared to January-August 2025 was driven by increased production of basic metals (by 3.1 percent), food products (including beverages) and tobacco (by 8.4 percent), pharmaceuticals (by 15.1 percent), construction materials (by 33.4 percent), wood and paper products, and printing products (by 44.7 percent), vehicles (by 46.8 percent), refined petroleum products (by 1.8 times), chemical products (by 2.3 times), and mining (by 8.9 percent).
Positive trends were also observed in construction, where production increased by 1.6 times, wholesale and retail trade by 4.4 percent, and agriculture by 6.4 percent.
