Bishkek, March 12, 2026 /Kabar/. Laboratories of environmental monitoring department under the Ministry of Natural Resources, Ecology, and Technical Supervision of the Kyrgyz Republic have been accredited according to the international standard GOST ISO/IEC 17025-2019.
According to the press service of the Ministry of Natural Resources, the laboratories have received the right to use the ILAC (International Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation) emblem, an international quality mark uniting more than 43,000 laboratories in 70 countries.
The ministry noted that air, water, and soil analysis results conducted in laboratories in Osh, Batken, and Jalal-Abad are now legally binding internationally and can be used in international proceedings.
Accreditation also confirms that the equipment, research methods, and specialist qualifications meet international standards.
This step is reportedly part of a long-term strategy to modernize Kyrgyzstan's environmental safety system.
