Bishkek, Feb. 27, 2025. /Kabar/. The head of the State Committee for National Security Kamchybek Tashiev spoke in parliament today about the results of the negotiations on the delimitation of the Kyrgyz-Tajik state border.

The official spoke in detail about the results of the work on coordinating the borders in the Vorukh area. "The most difficult negotiations were on the Vorukh enclave. He said that since 1991, the Tajik side had been using 19,000 hectares of land outside the Vorukh enclave. During the negotiations, this territory was reduced to 14,500 hectares of land. The Tajik side asked to provide 5,000 hectares of pasture land, but this did not suit us. As a result, we agreed that 1,000 hectares of pasture land near Vorukh would be transferred to the Tajik side and we would receive 1,000 hectares of pasture land in the Karagan-Sai area near the Chon-Alai district," said Tashiev.

Negotiations of the government delegation on the delimitation of the Kyrgyz-Tajik border were held in Bishkek on February 21.

Then the final protocol on the delimitation of the Kyrgyz-Tajik border was signed.
