Bishkek, May 11, 2026 /Kabar/. On May 10, Kyrgyz President Sadyr Zhaparov inspected the construction of one of the capital's largest infrastructure projects—the new Osh Bazaar, the presidential press service reports.
The head of state was briefed on the main parameters of the future trade and market complex. The total area of the complex is 155,000 square meters. The building consists of two floors and one underground level.
The project includes over 10,000 retail spaces. Within each block, the spaces will be distributed according to the appropriate trading areas, streamlining the complex's operations and creating a comfortable environment for vendors and customers.
Particular attention has been paid to creating a modern and comfortable infrastructure for entrepreneurs. Specifically, warehouse space, parking areas, and other necessary facilities for uninterrupted trade year-round are provided.
Construction work is scheduled to be fully completed by August of this year.
It should be noted that the Osh market, currently located in the central part of the capital, will be relocated only after the construction of the new shopping and market complex is fully completed. The vacated area will be converted into a modern green recreation area.
Furthermore, with the opening of the new bus station and Osh market, public transportation routes in the capital will be revised to ensure the convenience of Bishkek residents and visitors.
