Bishkek, Feb. 2, 2026. /Kabar/. New cable car has been launched in test mode at the Ala-Archa Nature Park, presidential administration told Kabar.
Technical tests are currently being conducted at the facility as part of commissioning activities. The work is being carried out by engineers from Doppelmayr, a global leader in the design, construction, and maintenance of cable car systems.
At this stage, specialists are completing the final adjustments to the safety systems and preparing the lift for load testing. Training has also been organized for personnel who will be responsible for the operation of the cable car and ensuring passenger safety.
Presidential administration told that after all technical adjustments are completed and the tests are successfully completed, the facility will be fully ready to receive visitors. The official opening of the cable car is expected to take place around February 14-15, but the exact date will be announced later, once all testing and commissioning work is completed.
Construction of the cable car in Ala-Archa Nature Park began in January 2025. The total route length will be 23 km, making the project one of the largest infrastructure projects in the country's tourism industry. The launch of the cable car is expected to significantly enhance the park's tourist appeal and improve access to its natural attractions.
