Bishkek, March 27, 2025. /Kabar /. Osh Mayor Jenishbek Toktorbaev held a meeting with Indian Ambassador Birender Singh Yadav today.
The municipality reported that during the meeting the parties discussed issues of strengthening bilateral cooperation in the socio-economic sphere, education, medicine, culture, and tourism.
Jenishbek Toktorbaev noted that the Osh Mayor’s Office is open to proposals, is always ready to develop bilateral relations, and also made a number of proposals to strengthen intercultural interaction.
This is the opening of direct flights from Osh to cities in India, advanced training of Osh medical workers in organ transplantation, including the opening of an organ transplantation clinic in Osh, since many Kyrgyz citizens fly to India specifically for this, as well as holding an Indian film festival.
In turn, the ambassador spoke about the simplification of the visa regime for citizens of the Kyrgyz Republic, thanked for the support of the annual International Yoga Day in Osh, and also invited to the presentation of the Indian Technical and Economic Cooperation (ITEC) program, which will be held today in Osh at the Jannat Hotel.
As part of the program, young specialists will have a unique opportunity to undergo specialized training in technical, administrative, business and other areas.
It is noted that following the meeting, the parties agreed to develop and strengthen bilateral cooperation.
