Bishkek, March 31, 2026. /Kabar/. Kubanychbek Omuraliev, Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS), delivered an address at the the Space Technology Conference 2026 held on 31 March 2026 in Tashkent, Republic of Uzbekistan.
The Conference brought together leading experts, policymakers, industry representatives, and international organizations to discuss the latest developments and opportunities in the space sector. The Conference serves as a key platform for dialogue and cooperation among countries of the region and beyond, focusing on innovation, technological advancement, and the development of space-related industries.
In his address, Secretary General emphasized the growing importance of space technologies as a driver of economic growth, scientific progress, and sustainable development. He highlighted the active role of the OTS in fostering regional cooperation, particularly through joint initiatives such as the 12U OTS-SAT Cube Satellite Project.
Ambassador Omuraliev underlined that collaboration within the framework of the OTS continues to expand, encompassing not only satellite development but also education, capacity-building, and the promotion of innovation ecosystems across the Turkic World.
