Bishkek, April 24, 2025. /Kabar/. In honor of International Mother Earth Day, the Permanent Mission of the Kyrgyz Republic to the UN held a grand opening of the exhibition "Voice of the Earth".
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic said that the exposition presents art works by young authors and their mentors from Central Asia, designed to reflect the relationship between climate change, sustainable development and peace. The theme of the exhibition echoes the current international agenda on climate change, emphasizing the impact of environmental issues on global stability and the need for intergenerational dialogue.
In her opening remarks, Permanent Representative of the Kyrgyz Republic to the UN Aida Kasymalieva noted the need to understand collective responsibility for nature and future generations. In this regard, she emphasized the importance of taking measures to combat environmental pollution, slow down the loss of biodiversity and provide funding to protect the planet.
The exhibition supports the efforts of the Kyrgyz Republic to promote the principles of environmental sustainability at the national and international levels.
The country is implementing programs to preserve mountain ecosystems, biodiversity and transition to a green economy.
