Permanent population of Kyrgyzstan increases by 9.2 thsd people

Bishkek, March 25, 2025. /Kabar /. The permanent population of Kyrgyzstan increased by 9.2 thousand people, or 0.1 percent, in January 2025 and amounted to 7 million 291 thousand people as of February 1, 2025. Such data was published by the National Statistical Committee.

According to the document, 11.2 thousand newborns, or 18.1 per 1,000 population (19.2 in January 2024) and 3.1 thousand deaths, or 5.0 per 1,000 population (5.4 in January 2024), were registered with the civil registry offices in January 2025.

As a result, the natural population growth was 8.1 thousand people, or 13.1 per 1,000 population (13.8 in January 2024). The highest level of natural population growth was observed in Batken, Osh, and Jalal-Abad regions, and the lowest in Bishkek and Chui region.
