Bishkek, May 22, 2025. / Kabar /. The working visit of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic, Sadyr Zhaparov, to the Republic of Hungary, which took place on May 20-21, has ended.
On the first day, an official reception was held for the heads of state on behalf of the Prime Minister of Hungary, Viktor Orban.
On the second day, President Sadyr Zhaparov held talks with Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban.
During the meeting, a wide range of issues of bilateral agenda between Kyrgyzstan and Hungary were discussed, as well as prospects for further development of cooperation in various spheres.
President Sadyr Zhaparov took part in the informal Summit of Heads of State - participants of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS).
The theme of the informal meeting, which was held for the first time in Hungary, was the "Meeting point of the East and the West" of the country-observer Organization.
In his speech, the head of state emphasized that Hungary has become a real bridge between the European Union and the Turkish world.
I note that the summit was held within the framework of the presidency of Kyrgyzstan in the Organization. Zhaparov, in turn, noted the successful presidency of Kyrgyzstan in the Organization.
As a result of the informal Summit, a number of multilateral documents were signed and adopted.
In addition, within the framework of participation in the informal summit of OTS, as the chairman of the organization, the president presented the International Prize named after Alisher Navoi to a world-class scientist - professor Azizu Sanjaru "for his contribution to the unity of the Turkish world".
The head of state also visited the new building of the Embassy of the Kyrgyz Republic in Hungary as part of a working visit to Hungary. Budapest. Previously, on the instructions of the president, in January 2024, the diplomatic representation moved to a new building acquired by the state.
During the visit, Sadyr Zhaparov emphasized that the state will continue to attach primary importance to the strengthening of the material and technical base of foreign representations.
Later, the President and First Lady Aigul Zhaparova visited the Hungarian State Opera Theater as guests of honor. The concert program was presented as part of the cultural program at the informal summit of OTS.
Having finished his working visit to the Republic of Hungary, President Sadyr Zhaparov returned to Bishkek on May 22.
