Bishkek, March 11, 2026. /Kabar/. President Sadyr Zhaparov, speaking in the Jogorku Kenesh, called on deputies, ministries, and construction workers to prioritize domestic production.
The head of state emphasized the need to minimize imports and ensure a balance between imports and exports.
"Previously, we exported 30% of our products and imported 70%; now, imports have dropped to 60%. For example, a fish feed production plant recently opened in the city of Kara-Balta. Fish farmers can now purchase feed there. The quality of the products meets European standards," the president stated.
Zhaparov noted that while construction materials were previously imported from other countries, a number of materials are now being produced in the republic and have even begun to be exported, the head of state added.
