Bishkek, Feb. 5, 2026 /Kabar/. Council of the Eurasian Economic Commission amended the Regulation on the procedure for implementing quarantine phytosanitary control in the Eurasian Economic Union, Ministry of Agriculture reported.

The adopted amendments are aimed at creating more favorable conditions for bona fide market participants, as well as increasing the transparency and effectiveness of quarantine phytosanitary control procedures.

In particular, the updated regulations include measures to prevent the misrepresentation of recipients of quarantine products in phytosanitary certificates. This will reduce the risk of violations and ensure more accurate tracking of product movements within the Union.

Furthermore, the amendments are aimed at increasing the effectiveness of control and strengthening quarantine phytosanitary security throughout the EAEU. Implementation of these measures will help protect agricultural production, prevent the spread of quarantine pests, and ensure the stability of the common market.
