Bishkek, Feb. 9, 2026. /Kabar/. Today, the campaigning for the re-election of deputies of the Jogorku Kenesh in multi-mandate electoral district No. 13 has begun, Central Election Commission reports.
According to the information, since the upcoming elections are being re-held in electoral district No. 13, the period of the general election process has been reduced by one third. Accordingly, the election campaign will last for 20 days. Specifically, from February 9, 2026 to February 28, 2026, at 08:00.
Central Election Commission registered a total of 25 candidates to participate in the early elections, 15 of whom are men and 10 are women. Three candidates were deregistered based on their applications.
Starting from February 9, 2026, candidates, political parties and other interested citizens have the right to carry out activities aimed at encouraging voters to vote for or against specific candidates, as well as free and comprehensive discussion of candidates' election programs.
The main requirement in this case is that all forms and methods of campaign activities must comply with the requirements of election legislation.
The re-election in the district is scheduled for March 1.
