Bishkek, Oct. 26, 2026 /Kabar/. Roza (Rozetta) Aitmatova, a prominent public figure, Candidate of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, and Honored Educator of Kyrgyzstan, has passed away at the age of 88.
Roza Aitmatova was born on March 8, 1937, in Moscow. She was the daughter of the distinguished statesman, party official, and public figure Torokul Aitmatov, and the sister of the world-renowned writer Chingiz Aitmatov.
Throughout her life, Roza Aitmatova was actively engaged in academic, pedagogical, and public work.
She made a significant contribution to the development of the education sector in Kyrgyzstan, the protection of women's rights, and the preservation of historical memory.
