Bishkek, Oct. 8, 2026 /Kabar/. President of Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Zhaparov participated today, October 8, in 8th Consultative Meeting of the Heads of State of Central Asia and the Republic of Azerbaijan, held at the "Avaza" complex.

President Zhaparov delivered a speech at the meeting, outlining key areas for further practical cooperation among the region's countries.

The president paid special attention to industrial cooperation, proposing that the countries' governments identify specific, mutually beneficial projects in sectors such as agricultural processing, light industry, construction materials production, and logistics, while specifying participants, funding sources, and implementation timelines.

The president highlighted the development of e-commerce as a distinct area of focus. As a practical step, he proposed creating a unified e-commerce platform for Central Asia and Azerbaijan; this would expand access for businesses and consumers to regional products and create additional opportunities for promoting them. As Sadyr Zhaparov emphasized, the development of e-commerce must be accompanied by the creation of appropriate logistics infrastructure, including delivery, warehousing, customs clearance, and shipment tracking. The Kyrgyz side is prepared to leverage the expertise of specialists from the High-Tech Park to implement this initiative.

Highlighting the importance of developing transport routes, the president stressed that the effectiveness of economic cooperation depends directly on the reliability of regional transport connectivity, transportation costs, and the predictability of transit conditions.

Sadyr Zhaparov placed special emphasis on the construction of the China–Kyrgyzstan–Uzbekistan railway, which will create new opportunities for integrating the region's countries into international transport and production networks.

"Our benchmark should be measurable results: lower delivery costs and reduced travel times. At the same time, every country must have the opportunity to fully participate in regional transport projects and reap economic benefits from them," the head of state emphasized.

Sadyr Zhaparov went on to note the importance of preserving glaciers and mountain ecosystems, which are inextricably linked to the long-term sustainable development of the countries in the region.

"Conserving natural resources, using them rationally, and applying innovations in this sector are essential for sustainable development and for future generations," the head of state stressed.

The president also highlighted the significant potential for bringing peoples closer together through the creation of a shared tourism space.

"Our countries possess complementary tourism potential. Historic cities, mountain and Caspian routes, and rich cultural heritage allow us to join forces in promoting Central Asia and Azerbaijan as an attractive travel destination," Sadyr Zhaparov emphasized, proposing the development of cooperation based on the "one trip – multiple countries" concept.

In conclusion, President Sadyr Zhaparov noted that the Kyrgyz Republic stands ready to continue making an active contribution to strengthening good-neighborly relations and developing mutually beneficial cooperation aimed at ensuring sustainable economic growth and improving the well-being of the peoples of the region.
