Bishkek, July 24, 2026 /Kabar/. As of July 1, 2026, the total volume of cash in circulation in Kyrgyzstan exceeded 317 billion soms, the National Bank reports.
According to the information, 31 billion 20 million soms were in commercial bank cash desks, and 286 billion soms were in circulation outside the banking system.
"In the second quarter of 2026, 1 trillion 841.6 billion soms were received by commercial banks across the country. This figure increased by 36.9% compared to the same period in 2025. During the same period, 1 trillion 880.3 billion soms were withdrawn from bank cash desks, a 35.9% increase compared to the second quarter of last year," the statement says.
According to the National Bank, the cash return rate at commercial banks in the second quarter was 97.9%.
