Bishkek, April 3, 2026. /Kabar/. The signing of the final protocol of 7th Meeting of the heads of Ministries on environmental protection of SCO Member States took place in Bishkek today.

The adopted documents are intended to serve as the foundation for taking cooperation between relevant departments to a qualitatively new level. It is noted that the meeting's outcomes will be an important contribution to preparations for the upcoming anniversary summit of the SCO heads of state.

"The results of today's meeting are a tangible contribution to the region's environmental security and a sustainable future for our people," emphasized Akyl Toktobaev, Minister of Natural Resources, Ecology, and Technical Supervision of the Kyrgyz Republic.

It is worth noting that the heads of delegations from Belarus, India, Iran, Kazakhstan, China, Pakistan, Russia, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan, as well as SCO Deputy Secretary-General Sohail Khan, participated in the discussion of pressing issues.

During the meeting, the parties also presented their national experiences in combating plastic pollution, preserving biodiversity, and implementing green technologies.
