Bishkek, July 9, 2026 /Kabar/. On July 7, Kyrgyz Minister of Education Dogdurkul Kendirbaeva met with professors and mentors at the International Scientific and Educational Camp for Young Scientists (SCO Young Scientists Camp 2026), held within the framework of the SCO.
According to the Ministry of Education, the meeting was attended by Deputy Minister of Education Mukhtarbek Baimurzaev, as well as 11 foreign and local professors who are supervising the research projects of the camp participants.
During the meeting,they discuss the organization and implementation of the camp, as well as prospects for its further development. Participants shared feedback and suggestions for improving the event format.
The professors noted the expansion of the number of participating countries in future camps beyond the SCO member states, the involvement of leading scientists and experts, and proposed the inclusion of new scientific areas in the program, including environmental development and the study of seismological processes.
Meeting participants highly praised the camp's preparation, noting the quality of its organization, the provision of modern equipment at the sites, the logistical support, and the conditions for conducting scientific research.
As a reminder, the International Scientific and Educational Camp for young scientists from the Shanghai Cooperation Organization member states opened on July 6 at the Akylman Presidential Lyceum in Cholpon-Ata.
As part of the camp, organized by the Ministry of Education, young scientists are conducting research in five scientific areas: environmental chemistry, biomedicine, renewable energy, aquatic robotics, and astroinformatics.
