Bishkek, July 8, 2026. /Kabar/. On July 7, Deputy Minister of Economy and Commerce Benazir Nurlanova held a meeting in Bishkek with representatives of the Singaporean company Sunvera Solar Pte. Ltd. Representatives of Ministry of Energy and the National Investment Agency also participated in the discussion.

According to the relevant department, during the talks, the parties discussed the prospects for launching a modern, highly efficient solar panel production facility in Kyrgyzstan with a capacity of up to 2 GW. The company views this project as one of its key foreign investment projects aimed at developing industrial cooperation and expanding the global supply chain for solar energy products.

Furthermore, the meeting participants exchanged views on the development of renewable energy sources (RES), the localization of high-tech production, the creation of new jobs, and attracting foreign direct investment.

Following the meeting, the parties confirmed their mutual interest in further developing cooperation in the field of green energy and RES. They agreed to continue substantive work on assessing the conditions for implementing the investment project and to organize familiarization visits to potential production sites.

"The implementation of such investment initiatives is fully consistent with the priorities of Kyrgyzstan's state policy, aimed at developing a green economy, renewable energy sources, and industrial production, as well as increasing foreign direct investment and promoting projects in this area," the statement says.
