Tajikstan delegation visits Kyrgyzstan

Bishkek, Aug. 25, 2025 /Kabar/. First Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic Daniar Amangeldiev met with the delegation of Tajikistan headed by First Deputy Prime Minister Khokim Kholikzoda.

The visit of the Tajik delegation was organized as part of the implementation of agreements between the leaders of the two states.

During the meeting, the parties discussed a wide range of bilateral cooperation issues with an emphasis on the prospects for expanding economic partnership, strengthening cross-border interaction, as well as the implementation of joint projects in the field of infrastructure and energy.

Daniar Amangeldiev emphasized that this meeting is a continuation of the implementation of the agreements reached at the highest level, and expressed confidence in the further development and strengthening of Kyrgyz-Tajik relations.

"The Kyrgyz side is ready to share its experience in the field of digitalization of public administration and the provision of public services aimed at improving the efficiency of government agencies and enterprises," Amangeldiev said.

The official also confirmed the desire of the Kyrgyz Republic to increase the volume of mutual trade to 500 million US dollars.

Special attention during the talks was paid to energy cooperation. The parties confirmed their commitment to the implementation of the CASA-1000 project and discussed the prospects for cooperation in the energy sector.

Khokim Kholikzoda, in turn, noted the significant successes of Kyrgyzstan in implementing large-scale reforms, in particular, in the areas of tax administration, customs service and digitalization. He emphasized that the study of this experience is of great practical value for the further implementation of effective approaches in Tajikistan.

As part of the visit, the Tajik delegation will visit a number of sites in Bishkek and the Issyk-Kul region to get acquainted with the practical results of the ongoing reforms and digital transformations.

“We welcome the interest of the Tajik side in studying the experience of the Kyrgyz Republic in implementing reforms in the digital economy, including the development of e-government, improving public finance management, tax administration, as well as in the field of tourism. I am convinced that this will strengthen practical cooperation and become a good basis for further exchange of experience between our countries,” said Daniar Amangeldiev.

At the end of the meeting, the parties expressed hope for continued constructive dialogue and expansion of mutually beneficial cooperation for the purpose of economic development, regional integration and ensuring a sustainable future for the two states.
