Tamchy SFIT to become a driver of economic growth in Kyrgyzstan, investor says

Bishkek, July 3, 2026. /Kabar/. Seo Dong-hyun, CEO of the South Korean company Serim, was one of the first investors to register in the Tamchy Special Financial Investment Territory (SFIT). He told Kabar that the investor came to attend the opening ceremony of Tamchy SFIT.

"I have previously participated in the capsule-laying ceremony for this project. A modern institutional and legal framework has now been created and well-organized in this territory. "I believe that in the future, this zone will make a significant contribution to Kyrgyzstan's annual economic growth of 10 percent," he noted.

Furthermore, Seo Dong-hyun emphasized the particular importance of the Tamchy SFIT offering foreign companies numerous benefits and institutional support.

"I hope that Tamchy SFIT will operate successfully and make a significant contribution to the development of Kyrgyz economy," he added.

As a reminder, the official opening of the SFIT Tamchy is taking place today in Issyk-Kul region, with the participation of President Sadyr Zhaparov.

The SFIT Tamchy was established by Kyrgyz Law No. 136 of July 10, 2025, on an area of ​​approximately 6,000 hectares on the shores of Issyk-Kul lake. Residents are entitled to work under English common law, enjoy a zero tax rate for 49 years, and enjoy the right to 100% profit repatriation. By 2035, the territory is expected to accommodate over 3,900 companies and create over 10,000 jobs.
