Trade turnover tripled, joint ventures has increased sixfold in Central Asia

Bishkek, Sept 23, 2025. /Kabar/. The Interparliamentary Forum has become a vital center for dialogue and the coordination of interests, Tanzila Narbaeva, Chairperson of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan told during the Forum.

She noted that over the three years of its existence, the forum has convincingly demonstrated its relevance and vital importance. Over these years, the countries of the region have achieved a high level of trust and good-neighborliness. This is the result of the political will of our heads of state. This cooperation touches all aspects – from security to cultural and humanitarian interaction. Parliaments play a key role in this area, creating a solid legislative foundation and practical implementation. The forum addressed the most pressing issues for our future, said Tanzila Narbaeva.

At the same time, the Chairperson of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis noted that the high level of cooperation is reflected in specific trade and economic indicators. Thus, trade turnover between Central Asian countries has tripled, and the number of joint ventures has increased sixfold.

Today, September 23, the 3rd Interparliamentary Forum of Central Asian States is taking place at the Ala-Archa State Residence in Bishkek. The forum is titled "Parliaments of Central Asian Countries: Effective Solutions for the Comprehensive Regional Development."
