Bishkek, Sept. 17, 2026. /Kabar/. The Union of OIC News Agencies (UNA) today, Wednesday, September 16, 2026, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in Riyadh with the International Center for Artificial Intelligence Research and Ethics (ICAIRE), on the sidelines of the Fourth UNESCO Global Forum on the Ethics of Artificial Intelligence (GFEAI 2026), which began on September 14 and will conclude tomorrow, September 17.
The MoU was signed on behalf of UNA by Mr. Mohammed bin Abd Rabbo Al-Yami, Director General of UNA, and on behalf of ICAIRE by Dr. Majed bin Ali Al-Shehri, Director General of ICAIRE.
The MoU aims to advance the shared objectives of ICAIRE, whose pillars are aligned with UNESCO’s Medium-Term Strategy (2022–2029), and UNA’s objectives, which are consistent with UNESCO’s strategic goals in promoting freedom of expression and media development, fostering a culture of peace and tolerance, combating hate speech and extremism, supporting knowledge exchange and media capacity building in the digital age, coordinating training programs for media professionals, promoting ethical technological transformation, and building partnerships to achieve sustainable impact.
