Union of OIC News Agencies signs memorandum with Islamic Solidarity Fund

The Union of News Agencies of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (UNA) signed a cooperation memorandum today (February 26, 2025) with the Islamic Solidarity Fund, in the presence of the Secretary-General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), Hissein Brahim Taha.

The memorandum was signed during the 68th session of the Permanent Council of the Islamic Solidarity Fund, which commenced today at the OIC headquarters in Jeddah and is set to conclude tomorrow.

The memorandum was signed on behalf of UNA by its Director-General, Mohammed bin Abdulrab Al-Yami, while the Executive Director of the Islamic Solidarity Fund, Mohammed Aba Al-Khail, signed on behalf of the Fund.

The memorandum aims to strengthen cooperation between the two OIC-affiliated institutions, enhance media coverage, and facilitate the preparation and production of various reports and studies. It also includes the organization of workshops, training courses, and specialized media forums for the benefit of both parties and journalists from UNA member news agencies.
