Bishkek, April 27, 2026 /Kabar/. Speaker of Jogorku Kenesh (Kyrgyz Parliament) Marlen Mamataliev received a delegation led by Chairman of the Senate of the State of Utah Stuart Adams.

According to the press service of Kyrgyz Parliament, the parties discussed relations between the two countries, including developing cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and the US state of Utah.

Marlen Mamataliev invited members of the delegation led by Stuart Adams to the 6th World Nomad Games, which will be held this year in Kyrgyzstan.

In turn, delegation member Josie McGee emphasized that the Kyrgyz game of kok boru is of great interest to people in Utah. She announced the arrival of a special team for the World Nomad Games.

Furthermore, Mamataliev noted that Kyrgyzstan pursues a multi-vector policy and is interested in developing partnerships with all countries, including the United States. "In recent years, important negotiations aimed at expanding bilateral ties have been held, and meetings in the C5+1 format have been organized. We are paying special attention to further deepening ties and expanding political, economic, cultural, humanitarian, and investment relations," he said.

The speaker, also voicing his opinion on visa issues, asked that the Kyrgyz Republic be removed from the list of countries requiring a visa deposit or reduced in amount, and that the practice of issuing 10-year visas be reinstated.

"We are also interested in close cooperation and strengthening collaboration with Kyrgyzstan in all areas. Taking into account the issues you raised, we will endeavor to help resolve the current situation regarding visa conditions," Stuart Adams concluded.

At the end of the meeting, initiatives to strengthen cultural and humanitarian ties were announced, and proposals were made for the implementation of projects in this area.
