Uzbekistan to build foreign industrial zone in Fergana

During a visit by a delegation of parliamentary deputies and business representatives from Türkiye to Fergana region, agreements were signed to establish the enterprise Turon Turk Sanoat Zonasi in Kuva district, UzA reported.

The Turkish company Heyal Holding has invested $350 million. Projects will be implemented to process fruits and vegetables and to produce electrical equipment, food products, and textiles. Nearly 5,000 people will be provided with employment.

A groundbreaking ceremony was held in Kuva district. The event was attended by Regional Hokim Khayrullo Bozorov, Turkish entrepreneurs led by Vahdettin Heyal, Founder of Heyal Holding, heads of regional organizations and institutions, and veterans.

The Regional Hokim noted that, as a result of the agreements reached, the commissioning of the industrial zone will enable the production of value-added goods.

Vahdettin Heyal emphasized that the conditions in Uzbekistan for the investment environment are increasing interest among Turkish entrepreneurs.
