Issyk-Kul, Sept. 4, 2026 /Kabar/. A horse rider named Yntymak took first place in the 6,000-meter byshty zhorgo race at the 6th World Nomad Games. He shares his emotions with Kabar.
According to Yntymak, he comes from the Ton district of the Issyk-Kul region and has been racing for about two years. He prepared for the current competition for about a month.
The young man said that during the race, his competitors set a fast pace, causing some of the horses to tire. This allowed him to take the lead and maintain it until the finish.
"I'm in a good mood! I won 1 million soms," Yntymak shared.
He also noted that this isn't his first victory; he's previously won first place twice.
Byshty jorgo is a pacing race covering 6,000 meters. Riders must be 10 years of age or older. Horses of all breeds born in 2023 are eligible to participate.
