Bishkek, March 16, 2026 /Kabar/. Kyrgyz President Sadyr Zhaparov held a telephone conversation with Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, the presidential press service reported.
The head of state congratulated Kassym-Jomart Tokayev on the successful referendum on the draft new Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Sadyr Zhaparov noted that the vote was a clear expression of the will of the citizens and a confirmation of public trust in state institutions. He emphasized that the high voter turnout demonstrates the population's active civic engagement and support for the ongoing reforms.
The president of Kazakhstan thanked for the congratulation and warm words, noting the continued support and attention to the ongoing processes in Kazakhstan. He also reaffirmed his commitment to further deepening Kyrgyz-Kazakh cooperation and developing a strategic partnership between the two countries.
During the telephone conversation, the heads of state discussed current issues of bilateral and multilateral cooperation, as well as prospects for further strengthening Kyrgyz-Kazakh cooperation.
Concluding the conversation, Sadyr Zhaparov expressed confidence in further strengthening cooperation in the spirit of mutual trust, traditional friendship, and brotherhood. He also congratulated Kassym-Jomart Tokayev on the upcoming Orozo Ait and Nooruz holidays, wishing the peoples of both countries harmony, well-being, and prosperity.
