Bishkek, Sept. 24, 2025. /Kabar/. Police officers conducted a large-scale cleanup operation in Issyk-Kul Lake. According to the regional police department, 5,500 illegally installed synthetic nets, which were causing serious damage to the lake's ecology and fish stocks, were discovered and confiscated during the operation. All nets were dismantled and destroyed.

Police emphasized that these measures are aimed at preserving the natural beauty and biodiversity of Issyk-Kul, as well as ensuring the environmental safety of the tourist area.
